If getting fit and meeting new people is your goal then Seewoog parkrun just might be for you! Seewoog parkrun is a free, weekly, timed 5km running/walking event organised by local volunteers that takes place in Ramstein-Miesenbach every Saturday morning at 9am. Everyone is welcome at parkrun – to walk, jog or run the beautiful 5km trail course, which starts and ends at the picturesque Seewoog lake. We’re massive fans at Used Car Guys and many of our team are regular runners and volunteers.
Part of the global parkrun community, Seewoog parkrun is currently one of 15 events in Germany, with many more launching in the coming months. There are over 1400 weekly parkrun events worldwide with the aim of creating happier and healthier communities through joining in this free, weekly active and social event.
Participants at Seewoog are an equal mix of Americans and Germans, so all communication is in English and German – there’s no need to be anxious. Strollers, kids and dogs are always welcomed and there is plenty of parking near the start.
Following each weekly parkrun, all participants have the opportunity to grab a coffee or snack at the Seewoog kiosk restaurant, which is right at the finish line.
What is parkrun?
- parkrun – is a weekly event for running, jogging, or walking over a distance of five kilometers. It doesn’t matter how fast you go. It doesn’t matter what you wear.
- parkrun starts every Saturday at 9:00 am in 20 countries worldwide.
- Parkrun is free for all participants. You register once and then print out a personal barcode to participate in any parkrun run worldwide.
- All parkrun races are organized by volunteers.

The registration takes only a few minutes. Then print out your personal barcode. This is your ID card every Saturday at every parkrun event in the world. Wherever you want to run, just bring your printed barcode with you and be on time for 9:00am.
