1. What types of cars do you sell?
We stock a diverse selection of vehicles to suit every budget, lifestyle, and duty location. Whether you’re looking for a reliable commuter sedan, a family-friendly SUV, a rugged pickup, or a performance car, we’ve got you covered. We offer both U.S.specification and EU specification vehicles. All vehicles are thoroughly inspected and come with a minimum of one year warranty.
Our current inventory is approximately 300 vehicles with new arrivals every day of the week, so if you don’t see something online that suits you, let us know and we can check our pipeline of incoming vehicles.
2. Do you offer financing options?
Yes! We offer support for flexible independent financing assistance tailored specifically for U.S. military personnel stationed overseas. We work with trusted American lenders who understand the unique circumstances of PCS moves, deployments, and overseas duty. We can assist with pre-approvals, competitive interest rates, and low down-payment options—even for customers with little or no credit history in Europe.
3. Can I trade in my current vehicle?
Absolutely. We welcome trade-ins and will provide a free, no-obligation appraisal. Our team ensures you get a fair market value, which can be applied directly toward your next vehicle. If you’re unsure whether your vehicle qualifies, bring it in or send us some basic information and photos for an initial estimate. We can also pay off open stateside liens and work with all the major lenders in the U.S.
4. Do you handle customs, vehicle registration and licensing?
As the vehicle needs to be registered with the on-base vehicle registration office, you have to go there in person to get your tags, but we provide you with a full checklist of what you need to do, where you need to go, and how you need to do it. So we are with you every step of the way, but due to the Military rules and regulations, we are unable to actually do it for you.
5. What warranties do you offer on your vehicles?
All our vehicles come with a minimum one year warranty, with the option to extend for greater peace of mind. Our warranties are very comprehensive and we can provide a document to list everything on request. We also guarantee that all our vehicles will pass Military inspection too.
6. Do you offer delivery services?
Yes! Whether you’re stationed in another part of Germany or elsewhere in Europe, we can arrange secure and timely delivery right to your town. We understand that not everyone can travel to one of our locations, so we make the process convenient and seamless.
Our locations in Germany are Ramstein, Kaiserslautern, Stuttgart, Spangdahlem and Grafenwoehr. In Italy we are in Aviano and Vicenza.
7. What special services do you offer for U.S. military personnel?
We specialize in serving the U.S. military community and offer:

8. How do I schedule a test drive?
It’s simple—just visit our website, give us a call, or message us on WhatsApp. We offer test drives by appointment and will have the vehicle ready for you when possible. Can’t make it in person? We also offer video walkarounds to help you make a decision to buy it remotely, which happens a lot more often these days.
9. What is your “Guaranteed Buy Back Program”
We know we sell great cars, so when you want to sell a car that you purchased from us, we are happy to buy it back from you! We guarantee to make an offer based on the stateside Blue Book or (German DAT system for EU specification cars), also taking the current condition into consideration. Many people buy a car when they arrive that suits the overseas European lifestyle, drive it here for 2-3 years and then sell it just before they go back stateside, and then take their nearly new US specification home with them.
10. Where do you have Used Car Guys Locations?
Our locations in Germany are Ramstein, Kaiserslautern, Stuttgart, Spangdahlem and Grafenwoehr. In Italy we are in Aviano and Vicenza.
11. How do I know the cars are in good condition?
Every vehicle in our inventory undergoes a thorough inspection by our own certified mechanics at our own Service Center. We can provide Carfax reports (where available), and inspection documentation. We don’t put anything on the lot we wouldn’t drive ourselves.
We also back up our cars with a minimum one year warranty, so we put a lot of effort into making sure our cars are good quality and ready to go.
12. Can I buy a car if I’m stationed outside of Germany?
Yes! We’ve helped military members in Italy, the UK, Belgium, and beyond. Thanks to our digital paperwork system and international delivery partners, you can complete the entire process remotely. We’ll handle logistics and make sure you receive your vehicle safely and legally.
13. What kind of customer support do you offer after purchase?
Our service doesn’t end when you drive away. You’ll have access to our after-sales team for any questions or concerns, warranty claims, or follow-up services. We’re also happy to assist with maintenance, and future trade-ins.
We have our very own Service Center in Ramstein where you can come for all car related services ranging from oil change, brake service AC service, new tires, etc.
14. Do you have any special promotions or discounts?
We frequently run limited-time promotions, especially around PCS seasons, holidays, and new inventory arrivals. We also offer loyalty discounts for returning customers and referral bonuses. Follow us on social media or sign up for our newsletter to stay in the loop.
15. What documents do I need to purchase a car?
To qualify for our Military Sales program, typically you will need:
- A valid military ID or DoD ID with SOFA (Status of Forces Agreement) privileges
- A valid U.S. and USAREUR drivers license
- PCS orders to overseas European destination
The SOFA status allows you to be able to purchase goods VAT free in Germany.
16. I don’t have SOFA status, can i still buy from you? I am not Military, can i still buy from you?
If you are working overseas without SOFA status, or if you are simply looking for a car but not in the Military we can still offer our range or EU specification vehicles to you! As most of our customers buy using their SOFA status, our cars are listed without the local VAT. So we would have to add VAT to the price of the vehicle, but you can buy those EU specification cars. 🙂
17. What is the difference between US Specification and EU specification?
Good question! US specification cars were built from the factory to be sold in the USA, and have title paperwork to show that. EU specification cars have EU paperwork to show they were built for sale in Europe. Current rules do not allow EU specification vehicles to be shipped to the USA, even though a US spec Audi and a EU spec Audi were probably from the same production line!
So the cars are very similar, but the paperwork for a EU spec car dictates that it cannot be sold in the USA. We sell a lot of EU spec vehicles and that’s why we offer a guaranteed buy back offer on all of them, so you can sell it back to us when it’s time to go home, and buy something nearly new with US specs to take with you.
18. Can you help me buy a car before I arrive in Germany?
Yes! Many customers secure their vehicle before arriving. We’ll work with you remotely to select a car, finalize financing, and even store the vehicle so it’s ready for pickup or delivery as soon as you arrive.
19. Do you offer insurance assistance?
Yes! We work with American Auto Nation who offer overseas insurance with great rates and superb customer service.
20. What makes The Used Car Guys different from other dealerships?
